My practice is rooted in performative labor and material relationships. Repetition and erasure situate my work in an ouroboros of absurdity and an unending quest for nonsensical tasks to complete. Drawing, painting, and installation are used in my practice to turn paper, graphite, joint compounds, etc into tools that embrace exploitative work willingly, idolizing work as an object or gesture to be replicated. My work is not assembled in a factory or typed up in an office. It ranges from physical objects to ephemeral labor, challenging perceptions of value.
